Desmond Kernan

Technology Manager, Mentor

Desmond is a Senior Technical Officer in the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering in DIT. Des joined The SWICN Clubhouse in 2007 as a Volunteer Mentor. Des designs and runs workshops in electronics, coding, robotics and anything that involves Making, Designing and Creating. He has a passion for working with young people, introducing them to new technologies and encouraging them to explore their interests through technology.

As Technology Manager Des manages the SWICN Clubhouse’s IT infrastructure. Des also manages the websites for The SWICN Clubhouse and SWICN.
