Kids and the Beanstalk

Kids and the Beanstalk

The members of the clubhouse are building a greenhouse for a competition ran by Eco-Unesco. The name of our team is “Kids and The Beanstalk.” Over the last few weeks the young people have been busy creating a logo for their team name and project. They have been working hard on deciding which plants to incorporate in their greenhouse, the layout of the greenhouse, the prices of the plants and where to purchase them. The members are working together with the help of Ivana, and our mentors, to collect 1,400 2 liter bottles to create the walls of the greenhouse. This week the members have found a plot of land to grow their project!

ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalist Awards 2014

Would you decorate your home using trash?

Well, this year the clubhouse entered a project into the ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalist Awards 2014 exploring different ways of transforming trash into useful and beautiful objects. You’d be proud to decorate your home with the beautiful things they created.

They called themselves Trashformers – Rubbish in Disguise and showcased their project in the Mansion House on May 20th.

Checkout their “Guide to Trashforming” and continue to keep an eye out for our young environmentalists and their next project.
